Informotion helps State Government Department scan for personal and sensitive information – averaging 120k documents per day.
Informotion worked with its client to scan repositories for personal and sensitive information in a way that was affordable and scalable. An average scanning throughput of approximately 120,000 electronic documents per day was achieved for phase one of this project. Estimated costs for scanning these items were calculated at approximately 2.8 cents (AUD) per document.
Informotion collaborated with the Department’s staff to design a tailored dashboard that provides comprehensive visibility into both high-risk and low-risk documents. 20 different criteria were used to make the risk determination. Percentage by risk criteria was presented as a pie chart for faster insights. Sensitivity risk was identified by department to enable targeted remediation. High risk items were listed and clickable for further investigation.
Phase one of the project conducted over an 8-day period, uncovered 13,700 electronic documents assessed as high sensitivity. The items included banking, passport, credit card, tax file number and drivers licence details.
Informotion is trusted by government and regulated organisations globally to address their data and information governance challenges. Our client base includes Local, State & County, Federal and Central Government departments, Utilities, Education, Financial Services & Insurance and Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences across Australia, the UK & Ireland and the United States.
